Predicted Mean Vote (PMV)
PMV is represent a value and that value can be taken from a calculation using thermal comfort parameters. Only considering one or two thermal comfort parameters it is impossible to describe about the thermal comfort. So PMV is giving values using all thermal comfort parameters. According to the value of PMV it is easy to discuss about the thermal comfort. According to the PMV value the thermal sensation is defined as below.
Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied (PPD)
The predicted percentage of dissatisfied (PPD) is represent that how many peoples are dissatisfied within a given thermal environment. This PPD value was introduced as a function of PMV. The relationship between PPD and PMV is shown by below figure.
